Which channels can I bring into ChatHey?
Bring WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and TikTok conversations into one shared team inbox, so your team can work together in one place. Email is coming soon.
Can I connect my business email?
Soon. You will be able to connect a Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox, an Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox, or any other mailbox. Its emails will appear as conversations in the same shared inbox, your team will reply from the business's own address, and read/unread status and drafts will stay in sync with the mailbox. Disconnecting a mailbox deletes the emails imported from it. Section 15 of our privacy policy explains exactly what we do with email data.
Does ChatHey use the official WhatsApp API?
Yes. ChatHey runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. WhatsApp conversations and template campaigns operate through that official connection.
Do I need to code to build an automation?
No. The visual flow-bot builder lets you connect triggers, replies and branches. For custom integrations, your developers can use the API.
Can the AI bot work with my own information?
Yes. The AI bot uses a knowledge base to answer questions about your business. Your team can stay involved when a conversation needs a person.
What happens when my AI tokens run out?
The AI bot stops writing and the conversation is handed to your team — nothing else changes. Your inbox, campaigns, flow bots and instant replies all keep working, and the allowance resets on your renewal date. You can also buy more tokens, or connect your own AI provider key, in which case there is no token limit at all.
What counts as a monthly active contact?
A contact you exchange at least one message with during a calendar month, counted once no matter how many messages you send. Replying to someone you are already talking to that month never counts again, and the allowance resets on the 1st. It is separate from how many contacts your list can hold, which is a much larger number on every plan — roughly ten months of outreach.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is lost straight away. Your conversations, contacts and campaigns are kept for 30 days after a free trial ends, and for 60 to 180 days after a paid subscription ends, depending on when your team last signed in. We email you 14 days and 3 days before anything is deleted, you can download your contacts in the meantime, and renewing cancels the deletion. Your account and your setup — bots, quick replies, tags — are always kept.
